“ The alligator po'boy was huge. Good meat in good batter on good bread. The crab, spinach, and artichoke dip was cheesy and perfect. The penne Alfredo may have been slightly bland, but it was in a kid's meal. Their burgers are quality too. The service from our waitress Jessica may have been the best part. There are clean bathrooms in the back. ”
“ The fried fish po boy, four sampler dish & their hot @ burger were all AMAZING & the fish was super clean tasting, tho the bread for the sandwich was a bit overkill a smaller bread would be better! Wonderful flavors on everything & great portions! We didnt have to season anything. Walked in here on accident & loved it, We will be back. The man back there cooking did his thang! Missed his name but i remember him saying hes from LA originally. All the staff were polite. ”

“ Our first taste of New Orleans cooking was here at the Rex House Kitchen and Courtyard. We ate in the courtyard as it felt slightly quieter; although nothing is quiet about an evening in this part of town. We both started with the alligator starter as we had been advised to try this while we were here. It was fine and valuable part of the experience. I then had the Gumbo with fish, chicken and Jambalaya; I found this it s very hot and spicy but I do normally have very mild taste. This was a great experience of a traditional New Orleans dish which I won’t forget - highly recommended! My wife who normally eats even milder food than me had the Pork chops separated by crab cake. Again, a spicy meal for us but worth the experience. I was thankful for a familiar glass of Guinness to round off the meal. Overall a great place to eat and soak up the atmosphere in this part of town. Thankyou. ”
“ First time ever trying southern cajun food!! The taste of New Orleans is what we ordered and oh my god it was knock your socks off good!!! Crab and corn chowder/ bisque was bomb! The duck and andouille gumbo was soooo good! The red beans and rice were to die for! The jambalaya was also sooooo damn amazing! Last but not least you have to try a HURRICANE!!!! I give this place five stars ”
“ On bourbon street. Inside and courtyard seating. Tuesday night no wait. We had red beans & rice and stuffed pork chop with side of jambalaya, asked for sauce on the side. Pork chop was a little salty. Generous portions. Full bar. Our waitress Brittney was great. Loved the background music they were playing. ”
“ We had a great time at the Rex house. Our server was amazing, I’m writing this review a few weeks after the visit and unfortunately can’t remember her name. I had a Bloody Mary to start and the creole chicken pasta. The Bloody Mary was so good and the pasta was good also. The other party with me also had the Cajun chicken pasta and she enjoyed that. We shared a fried ravioli- it was just ok. It was toasted a bit too much and the filling was dry. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this restaurant. ”
“ We enjoyed this place so much we ate here twice in three days. Exceptional customer service and delicious food. The menu is small but that's how a restaurant is able to focus on making delicious food every time. The crab cake pasta is incredible because of the house made Alfredo sauce I love battered onion rings which they should just add to the appetizer menu.... please lol I'm looking forward to going back. ”
